COVID-19 has a continuing impact on people in many ways. The Webinar addressed topics such as “Awareness of Mental Health”; “When and where to seek help”; Strategies to cope with isolation, stress and other difficulties caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Grant was made available by Canadian Red Cross Services, funded by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
Anne-Marie Clarkson MScN, BScN, BA(psyc), a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist talked about the topics mentioned above. This webinar was free of cost and open to public. People from all age groups and backgrounds tuned in.
The webinar was a huge success as a large number of people attended it.
FREE INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING/ THERAPY SESSIONS
OPEN TO ELIGIBLE ONTARIO RESIDENTS OF ANY BACKGROUND REGARDLESS OF THEIR FAITHS, NATIONAL ORGINS, GENDER etc.
Individuals impacted by COVID-19 interested in availing counselling sessions to help cope and can’t afford such services due to lack of insurance or adequate lack of financial resources are offered free counselling sessions with licensed healthcare professionals. These sessions are available for Ontario residents irrespective of their background such as National Origin, Race, Gender etc.
OFIC will not gather any medical history or information. The intake process will put eligible individuals in touch with a Health care professional to provide counselling services at FREE OF COST to them. The cost of the services will be borne by the OFIC from the funding provided via Canadian Red Cross Services as part of Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund. This program ends on November 30, 2020 and the services must be provided by this date.
